A trip to the Saturday market is Sarlat is an absolute must. I have read about the delicacies of the Perigord, and Sarlat’s market is the best way to experience them all. Canned foie gras and duck confit, local saucissons, and the coveted black truffles of the region make it impossible to leave empty handed.
In October 2023, our young family ended our three week European trip with a week exploring the South West of France. With a wine chateau as our home base, we ventured through the Dordogne, traced the Lot, and discovered the beauty of Graves.
