Summer 2019-- Is it here yet?

Hello there friends and followers. It is hard to believe it is almost June in Chicago. We have had a very crumby spring, but it looks like the weather is starting to turn and its finally time to put away those winter coats.

I have had some big changes myself. About a month and a half ago, we adopted a pup, Roxy. She’s a 4-year-old mutt with a heart of gold. if you couldn’t tell from my Instagram posts, I am pretty obsessed. It is a little more difficult to get out and about in the ways that I used to, but Chicago is very dog friendly. My favorite app is Bring Fido, which gives you great recommendations for restaurants, activities, hotels, and many more places you can bring your pooch. It has been a real savior. Just this morning we were planning some day hikes that were great for us and the dog.

If you are following the travel posts, you will find I’m getting through last year’s trip to France. Slow and steady. My goal is to get through that trip and the Belgium trip by the end of the summer. Wish me luck. This summer’s excursions take me to Kansas City, MO, Scottsdale, AZ, home to Michigan, and hopefully a few weekends camping in the midwest.

I can’t wait to get outdoors and make the most out of summer.
